Are MTG pre releases worth it?
Prereleases are almost always worth it, whether you measure it in cost or in fun. Dropping $25 to $35 on a single event isn’t that much and you’re already close to the “MSRP” of those packs considering you’re walking away with at least six packs and a foil promo.
Will there be a core set 2022?
Second discontinuation. There was no Core Set 2022. The product released in its expected time frame was Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, which started out in design as core set but was later transformed in a more complicated expansion set.
Is Magic: The Gathering pay to win?
By this definition, the answer is No. Magic Arena is no more pay to win than paper magic is. Many free to play players make it to Mythic rank on Arena all the time.
How often do Magic sets come out?

Four Magic sets are released (one approximately every three months) and added to Standard each year, and subsequently the four oldest sets in Standard rotate out along with the release of the Fall set on September. This happens as soon as the patch is released on MTG Arena on the fourth Thursday of the month.

How long does a pre release take?
With each round taking one hour and the first 90 minutes being set aside to hand out prerelease packs to that many people, open booster packs and build a deck to play with, that gives you an end time of 8:30am. That’s the amount of time many trans-continental flights take.
What happens at a MTG pre release?
WHAT IS PRERELEASE? Your very first chance to play with the cards from a brand-new set. A week before the set is released, you can head to your favorite local WPN member game store to crack open some packs, build a deck, and try out all the exciting new cards and mechanics in a friendly, informal tournament.
