A&W was founded in the United States in 1919. Famous for their popular Root Beer beverage, A&W quickly grew a large and loyal fanbase in the United States. Unfortunately due to strict European legislation relating to permitted levels of certain soda ingredients we are currenty unable to sell A&W soda in Europe.

What happened to A&W restaurants?

Brands, the chain was sold in December 2011 to a consortium of A&W franchisees through A Great American Brand, LLC. A&W restaurants in Canada have been part of a separate and unaffiliated chain since 1972.
