How does the JPL league work?
JPL One gives clubs the ability to play like-minded clubs in a fixtures programme that allows two home and two away matches against the same club – aligned to the existing professional football club Academy system in England. There is a higher standard entry criteria in order to be considered for JPL One.

How do you join the JPL team?
JPL: Entry Criteria
- Must supply club’s Youth Development plan.
- Clubs must be affiliated through their County FA.
- Clubs must hold (or willing to work towards) FA Charter Standard status.
- Club facilities must pass league inspection.
What is JPL one?
JPL One is our largest collection of leagues. It offers 11 vs 11 football for teams with U13 – U16 age groups, with each team playing opposing clubs twice home and away. age groups within a club will be together more often, travelling to and from JPL matches. JPL One is the pinnacle of the Junior Premier League.
What level of football is the MJPL?
MJPL Squads is our highest level before joining Aston Villa Academy! Players must show all qualities at Level 5 & 6 in the Progress Pyramid to be included in the MJPL squads. Once at this level, players are monitored on a weekly basis and are reviewed at the end of each game.
