What is WELD-On 40?
SciGrip Weld-On #40 is a two-component, clear, medium syrupy, low VOC, reactive acrylic adhesive. It polymerizes at room temperature, forming high strength joints within a few hours. The cemented joint retains high clarity, good strength and resistance to the effects of weathering and aging.
How do you weld at 40?
Weld-On 40 is flammable, so keep it away from heat sources.
- Prepare the surfaces of the items you plan to bond with the Weld-On 40.
- Bring both parts of the adhesive to room temperature.
- Mix the components together to create the adhesive.
- Place the mixture in a plastic glue applicator with an attached hypodermic needle.
How does weld-on 4 Work?
Weld-On 4 is a water-thin,somewhat flammable cement formulated to quickly develop very clear and high strength bonds for many thermoplastic substrates. The bond is achieved by first softening the surfaces to be joined and then fusing them together with the dissipation of the solvent.
What do you use to glue acrylic together?

What is the difference between Weld-on 3 and weld on 4?
Weld-On 3 is a very fast, clear, water thin, non-flammable, high strength, solvent-type acrylic cement. For a more blush resistant, but somewhat slower acrylic cement, we suggest you try Weld-On 4 or 5. BOND STRENGTH DATA.
