What is Entresto used for?
This product is used to treat certain types of heart failure. It may help you live longer and lower your chance of having to go to the hospital for heart failure. This product contains 2 medications: sacubitril and valsartan.

ENTRESTO lowers blood pressure and may cause symptomatic hypotension. Patients with an activated renin-angiotensin system, such as volume-and/or salt-depleted patients (e.g., those being treated with high doses of diuretics), are at greater risk.

Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Do not take this medicine if you have very low blood pressure (Systolic Blood pressure less than 100mmHg). Your doctor will check your blood pressure before you start on Entresto.
What drugs should not be taken with Entresto?
You should not take Entresto within 36 hours before or after you have taken any ACE inhibitor medication. If you have diabetes, do not use Entresto together with any medication that contains aliskiren such as Tekturna or Tekamlo. You may also need to avoid taking Entresto with aliskiren if you have kidney disease.
