How long does guardianship last in Texas?
Emergency/temporary guardianship ends at 60 days. At the end of the 60 days, the court will decide if a there is the need for a permanent guardianship or none at all. There is a final account filed by the temporary guardian, followed by an application to close the temporary guardianship.
