Do I need G-Sync with 144hz?

Is G-Sync good for 60hz?
Polypheme. You can use gsync and vsync togather if you want, vsync will cap fps to refresh rate and gsync will still eliminate tearing if fps falls below 60. However you will still get the associated input lag with vsync and it may stutter if fps falls below 60 with vsync on.
Is FreeSync needed at 144Hz?
Please try again later. Yes, this can run 144 hz without Freesync. I have the same GPU as you and I was able to select 144 hz within the settings without turning on Freesync. Usually Freesync monitors will only show its max refresh rate if Freesync is turned on, in this case it wasn’t needed.
