To kick off our preview of the June Update, we’re going to dive right in starting with new Building and Troop levels for Town Hall 14! That’s right, it’s time to buff those defenses and strengthen those troops because we’ve got some upgrades coming.
What is the strongest defense in COC?
The most important defenses are:
- Mortars for horde troops, especially around Town Hall 6-8 where BARCH raids are common.
- Air Defense for air units, once dragon and minion raids start to become common.
- X-Bows for their all-around rapid rate of fire.
- Wizard Towers for their splash damage.

What is TH14?
It only emerges when the Town Hall is damaged, or when 51% of the base is destroyed. When the Town Hall is destroyed, it unleashes a poison bomb that works just like the Poison Spell; it deals damage and slows down movement and attack speed to all units around the Town Hall.
Which defense should I upgrade first?
Defenses I recommend upgrading the new defense right away (TH12: Giga Tesla, TH11: Eagle Artillery, TH10: Inferno Towers). However, this is an aggressive strategy to push and level up faster. These defenses affect heavily the weight of your base on Clan Wars, specially maxing out the Giga Tesla.
