You must be aged 55 or more, or be 18 to 54 years old and have at least one of the following:
- Dementia.
- A learning disability.
- A physical disability.
- A mental health issue.
- A history of substance abuse.

How much does the service cost? Two course hot meals cost £8 per person delivered, a snack pack can be added at an additional £3 per person. We are currently running a promotion allowing new clients to try their first meal completely free.

Simply contact your local centre or council to arrange a daily Hot Meals on Wheels delivery. You can receive this up to 7 days a week, 365 days per year and can choose from a wide range of delicious meals.
What does Meals on Wheels provide for the elderly?
The aim of ‘meals on wheels’ or ‘cooked chill meals’ is to provide a nutritional meal for people who are unable to, or find it difficult to, prepare a meal for themselves. There is normally a charge for the service. You may also be able to borrow equipment to reheat the meal yourself and a small freezer if you need it.
Does Meals on Wheels have diabetic?
In addition to our regular meals we offer medically appropriate meals including diabetic meals, renal meals for kidney disease, Low K meals for heart patients, puree meals and vegetarian meals. We will accommodate personal preferences, to some degree, including substituting for pork, fish, etc.
