Is the type 6 transporter good for mining?
Type-6 is not the best ship for mining, for one reason: hardpoints. Class 1 mining lasers have worse yield-per-energy-spent ratio than class 2. That makes type 6 a slo-ow miner. It’s still possible to mine with it, of course, it just won’t be fast.
Is Type 7 transporter good for mining?
The Type 7 is so fast and agile for a ship its size and I’d sacrifice a bit of that for a damn medium hardpoint. Then you’d have this really peppy, robust mining ship, great for just deep core mining for the expensive stuff, fast enough to get away in the event of piracy, and equipped with a moderate level of defense.

Is the Keelback better than the Type-6?
