Is Obergurgl expensive?
Overall not a bad resort, but in comparison to other Austrian resorts I have been to Obergurgl is expensive. Large beer was anywhere between 5-7 euro, coffee/hot choc 5 euro, toasty 5 euro. Comparable items in Soll or Kaprun are about half the price.

Can you ski from Obergurgl to Solden?
Solden is just 20 minutes’ drive down the valley from Obergurgl and the two resorts are connected by a bus service. Solden has a similar, but slightly larger, high altitude ski area, so intermediates and above staying in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl will definitely want to ski in both ski areas.
