What’s the difference between mega Si and mega Di?
First of all MEGA is MKz. MEGA SI and MEGA DI has the 1.2 MKz Imaging frequency. CHIRP is a range of frequencies instead of a single frequency per pulse. The Helix MEGA DI units come with the new Dual Spectrum DI transducer and uses 140-240 kHz for 2D sonar.
Does helix 7 have SI and DI?
The Helix 7 comes with Dual Spectrum chirp sonar technology that offers two ways to search. You have the option to use CHIRP while cruising, CHIRP SI for side imaging, and CHIRP DI G2 for detailed scans of the bottom.
Can you run two Humminbird units off one transducer?
Yes via Ethernet. I see you have a 360 and two displays now. If you have all three connected via Ethernet, you can do it now. Just turn Sonar OFF with one of the units—same as disconnecting the transducer.

The Mega imaging technology is no joke and if you have the budget for it, I highly recommend going with the Humminbird Helix 7 SI GPS G3N. It doesn’t get much better than that. Third, the overall inclusiveness of all the features you need is the biggest selling point for me.
