Is GTCS a professional body?
The GTC is the professional body for teaching in England. Our overall purpose is to work in the public interest to help improve standards of teaching and learning.
What is professional update?
Professional Update (PU) is a process encompassing professional standards and values, the focused professional learning to which all teachers are entitled, reflection upon the impact of that learning, and Professional Review and Development (PRD).

Can English primary teachers teach in Scotland?

Is it worth joining the Chartered College of teaching?
Committing time to something on top of a full-time teaching job is not easy, and committing 15 months to become a Chartered Teacher can be an intimidating thing to do. Having completed the course; however, I can safely say that it is worth it.
