Can you camp anywhere at Reading Festival?
There are no electrical hook-ups for campervans anywhere on site. Campervans cannot be parked with tents in the campsite. They will be located in one end of the campsite to comply with non-negotiable licence conditions.
What campsites are at Reading Festival?
Red. This is arguably the most convenient campsite in the site. It’s right by the main pedestrian entrance, so you don’t have to haul your camping equipment too far and there are showers and toilets nearby.
Where do you park for Reading Festival?
Green Car Park is situated in Kings Meadow. This is a short, FREE shuttle boat journey away from Green or Red Gate into the campsites. Any weekend vehicles coming from the East or South of Reading should go to the Green car park which is situated close to Napier Road, Reading.
Can you sleep in your car at Reading Festival?
The designated campervan/caravan area of the site is the only place where ticket holders can sleep in vehicles. We do not permit sleeping in cars and security will ask you to leave the car park. Barbecues can be used in these fields, but they must be at least 3m away from any vehicle or structure.
Is camping free at Reading Festival?
Under 13’s (12 years and under) are admitted free but must be accompanied by a paying ticket-holder over 18 at all times. For general Reading questions (like things you can’t bring and ticket types) please refer to the festival website. Campfires and the use of gas canisters are not permitted in Camping Plus.

Showers. If you’re at the festival for the whole weekend and need a proper wash, there are showers dotted around the campsites in case you didn’t book the luxury camping. The white, yellow, guest and disabled access camping areas normally have showers, but beware of queues.
Can I take alcohol into Reading Festival?
Whilst you can take alcohol onto the campsite, you can’t take drinks into the arena. Reading Festival only allows sealed soft drinks under 500ml, as well as reusable bottles when you see the acts.
