Can I use Manic Panic as a toner?
Manic Panic Virgin Snow is a toner rather than a colour. It works to remove unwanted pigments left behind after lightening hair and cancels out tones opposite it on the colour wheel. It neutralises unwanted yellow and orange tones to create the end result of white hair.

Manic Panic should shampoo out if you keep washing your hair, or you can use Blue manic panic to tone orange. You’re probably going to end up with a dark brown with blue hues. Orange can be somewhat neutralized with blue. That said, it will turn your hair beige-ish if you get the balance right.

Manic Panic partially penetrates hair shaft with smaller color molecules than the permanent hair color. Permanent hair colors contain ammonia and require peroxide to penetrate and bond with the hair shaft. Our product is gentle and does not require a developer.

Does Manic Panic wash out completely? Yes, Manic Panic temporary hair dye washes out completely when you shampoo your hair. Just make sure to follow the instructions on the package! For semi-permanent hair dyes, it can take longer to wash out completely.

I love manic panic! I have used a lot of their color in the past including this one, they all last a long time, if you take care of the color!!! Wash in cold to cool water and only shampoo every other day using a gentle or color sealing shampoo and you should have no problem with it fading too quickly.

How long does Manic Panic take to tone hair?
Use a hairdryer to apply heat to your hair for part of the processing time (not necessary but can ensure hair follicles are primed for best absorption). Leave color on for 30 minutes or longer. Since Manic Panic® is non-damaging, you can leave it on for an hour or more!
Can you use Manic Panic on dark hair?
If your hair is dyed black, some darker MANIC PANIC dyes will give a subtle highlight (like Vampire Red for example) and will not damage the hair. On NATURAL black hair, MANIC PANIC Flash lightning Bleach Kit in 40 volume strength is recommended.
